Our purpose
A permanent socialist tendency inside the Democratic Party.
The Socialist Caucus exists to give democratic socialists, social democrats, and labour-oriented Democrats a durable place to organize inside Democratic Party institutions. Its political tradition is democratic, internationalist, feminist, pro-labour, egalitarian, and rooted in the belief that social and economic power should serve the public good.

Solidarity
Collective responsibility across class, race, gender, generation, borders, and communities.

Social Democrats of America describes its project as a socialist faction inside the Democratic Party. Its declared principles draw from humanism, Enlightenment values, liberty, equality, fraternity, democratic struggle, labour history, solidarity, and universal rights.
